When an anchored box is pasted immediately in front of a character, the bottom of the box is aligned with the baseline of the text next to it. This means that our bullet is too high in relation to the text, so we need to shift it down using the Baseline Shift command.
Since the Baseline Shift command can only be applied to text, we must select the picture box as if it were text in order for this command to become available. If we simply click on the picture box, we would only have access to commands relating to images.
To select the anchored picture box as a text character, position the cursor next to the box rather than on the box then drag across the box as if highlighting a range of characters.
Next, choose Baseline Shift from the Style menu and enter the appropriate amount. A negative figure will move the box down, a positive one will move it up. In the example shown in the movie below, we use a figure of 7.5mm, half the height of the box.
(Please note that if we simply enter 7.5, this would be treated as 7.5 points. By entering 7.5mm, we override the fact that Quark expresses baseline shift in points.)
