When creating bulleted paragraphs in QuarkXPress, you need to use a hanging indent whereby each line in a paragraph is indented with the exception of the first line.
So, with the text highlighted, we choose Formats from the Style menu. This is where Quark keeps all its paragraph formatting commands.
For the left indent, we enter 20mm. (Remember we made the bullet 15mm, so this will leave a 5mm gap between the bullet and the indented text.)
In order for the first line to be back on the main margin instead of being indented with the other lines, we must now enter a negative figure in the First Line indent box of minus 20mm. If we were to leave the First Line indent as zero then the first line would be indented like the other lines in the paragraph.
