Step 2: Creating a paragraph style

Now we need to create a paragraph style which uses our green bullet as a nested character style.

1. Choose Window - Type and Tables - Paragraph Styles.
2. Choose New Paragraph Style from the Paragraph Styles palette menu.
3. Enter the style name.
4. To create a bullet style hanging indent where all lines except the first line are indented, click on Indents and Spacing, enter a Left Indent (e.g. 7mm) and an equivalent negative First Line Indent (e.g., -7mm).
5. Click on Drop Caps and nested-styles.
6. Click on the New nested-styles button.
7. Choose the character style created in step 1 from the first drop-down menu in the nested-styles section of the dialogue.
8. Choose Characters from the second drop-down menu accepting the default option "through 1".
9. Click OK to confirm the creation of the new paragraph style.
